Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
The Beeswax application ("Service") is provided by Ryanchow Pty Ltd (ABN 99 100 901 488) ("Beeswax", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Two sections at the end apply additionally by region: United Kingdom, Australia.
2. Description of Service
Beeswax provides a cloud-based business management platform, including project and task management, time tracking, invoicing and quoting, accounting and bookkeeping, bank feeds and reconciliation, payroll, tax reporting and lodgment (such as Value Added Tax returns in the United Kingdom and Single Touch Payroll and activity statements in Australia), online invoice payments, document storage, artificial-intelligence assistance, and a programming interface for connected tools. Feature availability varies by plan and region.
3. Account Registration
You must register for an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription and Payment
Beeswax offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. Free Trial
New accounts may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, you must select a paid plan to continue using the Service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.
6. Tax Filings and Government Submissions
The Service can prepare and electronically submit filings to government authorities — for example Value Added Tax returns to His Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and Single Touch Payroll reports and activity statements to the Australian Taxation Office. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Every submission is made on your instruction, from figures you have reviewed and approved; a submission is your declaration to the relevant authority, not ours
- Beeswax is software. We are not a tax agent, accountant, bookkeeper, or adviser, and nothing in the Service is tax, legal, or financial advice
- You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of your filings and for any tax, interest, or penalties arising from them
- Government authorities may require us to transmit certain technical data with submissions, as described in our Privacy Policy
7. Artificial-Intelligence Features
The Service includes artificial-intelligence features that extract, categorise, suggest, and review financial information. Artificial-intelligence output can be incomplete or wrong. It is provided to assist you, not to decide for you: you must review artificial-intelligence output before relying on it or including it in any filing, and the responsibility in section 6 applies regardless of whether a figure originated from an artificial-intelligence suggestion.
8. Online Invoice Payments
If you enable online invoice payments, payments from your clients are processed by Stripe through a Stripe connected account that you hold. Stripe's terms apply to that account. Beeswax is not a party to the payment relationship between you and your client; refunds, disputes, and chargebacks are handled between you, your client, and Stripe.
9. Bank Feeds and Connected Services
Bank feeds retrieve your transaction data from your bank via the feed provider you authorise. Feed data may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable from time to time, and you should not treat it as a substitute for your bank's own records. If you connect your own storage (such as Google Drive or your own network storage), you are responsible for that storage's availability, capacity, and backups, and for your agreement with its provider.
10. Programming Interface and Access Tokens
The Service provides access tokens that let tools you choose — including artificial-intelligence assistants — read your Beeswax data through our programming interface. Tokens are confidential: you are responsible for the tools you connect, for everything done with your tokens, and for what connected tools do with data they retrieve. You can revoke a token at any time in the Service.
11. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
- Not upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Ensure you have the right to store and process the personal information you add about other people (such as employees, clients, and suppliers), as described in our Privacy Policy
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
12. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Beeswax and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights. Content you upload or create within the Service remains your property.
13. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect, the third parties we use, what is sent to tax authorities, and our respective roles for data you hold about other people. For data you add about your employees, clients, and suppliers, you are the controller and we process it on your instructions.
14. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, though we may retain your data for a reasonable period to allow for data export and to meet the statutory retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beeswax shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees that the law does not allow to be excluded — see the regional sections below.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where the regional sections below or applicable law provide otherwise.
18. Contact
