Overview
Beeswax connects to third-party apps so you can keep working the way you already do. From Money → Connected Apps you can connect:
- Xero — send your finalised invoices and expenses to Xero, keeping both systems in sync without manual double-entry (covered below)
- Google Drive — store your project files in your own Google Drive (see the Google Drive Storage help article)
- Stripe — let clients pay their invoices online by card (see the Online Invoice Payments help article)

Concurrent Use
Beeswax supports running alongside Xero simultaneously. This means you can:
- Gradually migrate from Xero to Beeswax at your own pace
- Run both systems indefinitely if that suits your workflow
- Use Beeswax for project management and invoicing while keeping Xero as your primary accounting tool
There is no requirement to fully switch — use what works for your business.
How to Connect to Xero
- Navigate to Money > Connected Apps
- Click Connect to Xero
- A popup window opens — log in to your Xero account
- Select the Company file you want to connect to Beeswax
- Authorise the connection
Once connected, Beeswax begins syncing data with Xero.
How Syncing Works

Note: Only finalised invoices and expenses are transferred to Xero. Draft documents are not synced until they are finalised.
Note: The sync only sends items that have been created or updated since the last sync. It does not perform a full re-sync of all historical data on every cycle.
Sync Paid
By default, only outstanding (unpaid) invoices and expenses are sent to Xero. Turn on the Sync Paid toggle on the Xero card to also include paid and partially paid invoices and expenses in the sync.
Use this when you want Xero to hold the full picture, including settled documents. Leave it off if you record payments directly in Xero and only need Beeswax to send outstanding items.
Note: Sync Paid is only available while Xero is connected, and only Owners and Super Admins can change it.
